First Fondant cake Adventure...

Wish I had a pic, but working on getting it...

Where should I start... My first fondant cake was a DISASTER. About 3 years ago, some friends and I decided to make a wedding cake from scratch (3 tiered). With all the great ideas running through out minds, we went to the store and bought everything we thought we needed. Things from cake pans to rolled fondant and color, lol... We got to the apartment, baked the cakes, Thought it would be nice to bake a different type of cake on each tier (sponge , pound and a regular cake) with different fondant colors. HAHA... And the fun adventure began.

Baked each cake off from different recipes gotten online (never tested). With all cakes made, looking as awful as can be, we still continued and tried covering it with fondant. "NOTE: None of us had ever worked with fondant or knew how to work with fondant." We tried coloring it with various colors to get one we liked (but that never came to reality). Covered the cake without a crumb coat (wonder how it would have worked). After all the trial and errors, with continuous cracking of the fondant, we covered d cake... NOT individually but as a whole... LOLLL... WHY didnt just google it...

After the disater, all I could do after, was laugh and take several pictures for future referral and laughter.

PIC COMING SOON.....
